Avalanche safety sytem "Jakobshorn", Switzerland

An Avalanche Master on the Jakobshorn at Davos helps the slope preparation team to secure a tricky starting zone close by the slope without getting the patrollers into the danger zones. The installation is operated from the already existing control center on the "Weissfluhjoch" at the "Parsenn" area on the opposite side.

A stationary installed Avalanche Pipe below the Top Station serves a total of 10 target points, whereby the charge is thrown 200m for the target point furthest away on the slope at the opposite side.
